About the role
Join our Loading Team and play an essential role in verifying quantities of product received and loaded onto trucks at our distribution centers. You will work directly with the inventory department, supervisors, and leads to ensure products are in the proper staging locations, enabling efficient and accurate loading while maintaining a clean and safe work area. This position involves operating electric pallet jacks to load products into truck trailers, hand stacking products, labeling and wrapping pallets, and securing loads within the trailer.
Responsibilities
- Load trucks in sequence based on delivery schedule and routing using at least 5 load bars per route to ensure secure delivery.
- Distribute finished load sheets to the inside of the trailer, dispatcher, and driver.
- Select product on heavy nights or if understaffed.
- Maintain a clean work area and operate pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
- Inspect assigned pallet jack for safety issues and turn on single and dual temp trailers' refrigerator units at the proper times.
- Report discrepancies in pallet counts, missing repack, unsound pallets, or any violations of company policy to the lead, supervisor, or manager.
- Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be immediately available.
- Previous warehouse/selecting experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
- Ability to work in temperature ranges from -20°F to 35°F in Perishable Operations and 37°F to 90°F in Grocery Operations.
- Capability to perform repetitious arm, wrist, and hand movements, work with hands and arms overhead, and work in or under equipment.
- Manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work at ground level and in high places.
- Ability to operate work-related equipment.
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay
Starting pay rate of $22.75 per hour.
Schedule
Sunday to Tuesday with an overtime day. Shift starts at Noon (12 PM).
