Load Former 2nd Shift

Duties

• Follow all company safety guidelines.
• Ability to read production sheets.
• Quickly identify a quality defect and communicate immediately to machine operators.
• Quality checks using micrometer, tape measure, etc.
• Able to read a tape measure up to 1/16” variance.
• All units have an accurate load tag and the appearance meets plant’s requirements.
• Basic Computer Skills (Data Entry).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to add, subtract, & multiply.
• Able to work extended work hours and weekends, as needed.
• Self-motivated.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Professional Attitude & conduct.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred.
• 6 months’ experience as a Bundler.

• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form.
• Deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.

Technical Skills

• Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities.
• Product layouts and production specifications.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear.
• Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Sit occasionally.
• Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, vibration, and noise level in the work environment.
