About the role
The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) assists in the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for maintaining and/or increasing knowledge in the area of practice.
- Demonstrate the minimum knowledge, skills and ability to participate in care of age specific populations.
- Function as part of the team to provide support to the Inpatient Care Unit environment.
- Function in a calm and professional manner when faced with times of crisis on the unit.
- Enter orders in the computer system and manage the clerical functions of the unit.
- Assist with unit preparedness as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- Successful completion of an approved course for Licensed Nursing Assistants
- Current Vermont LNA license
- Current BLS certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Previous health care experience (preferred)
Qualifications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Experience with electronic medical record systems.
Skills
- Knowledge of patient care protocols and competencies.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems.

Pay
The base rate for this position is $20.40 - $24.75 per hour. The hourly range reflects a good faith estimate of base pay for the position. The rate for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
