Position Summary

LMSW Outpatient Therapist in the Adult Behavioral Health Program.

Position Duties

  • Deliver clinical services to adults and families, including intake evaluations, person-centered assessments, and both individual and group therapy.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, and other support systems to ensure coordinated care, while maintaining state licensure and meeting all contractual and agency requirements.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and case consultations, completes timely documentation, adheres to professional ethical standards, and coordinates effective discharge planning.
  • Ongoing training in the treatment of adult mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders is required, along with performing additional duties as needed.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a master's degree in social work, Psychology or Counseling.
  • Possess the corresponding State of Michigan licensure - LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP.
  • Must obtain the Qualified Mental Health Professional credential within 120 days of hire.
  • One year of experience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating or working with people who have been diagnosed with mental illness.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills in order to track and prepare data accurately and timely.
  • Ability interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
  • Individual programs may have additional requirements.
  • Additional requirements include: cultural competency, ability to work effectively with a diverse population, the ability to engage and maintain therapeutic relationships with youth and families in a variety of modes of treatment, the ability to develop collaborative relationships with other unit staff and providers, effective communication skills, and a willingness to be flexible.

Schedule

  • Mon-Thu 8:30am-7pm, Fri 8:30am-5pm, Sat 9am-1pm (37.5hrs/wk).
  • Some evening or weekend hours.

Pay

Pay Rate: $1600.00 - $2400.00
