Join our neurorehabilitation team and make a difference where recovery meets real life. We're seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to support individuals with neurological injuries such as stroke and traumatic brain injury (TBI). In this role, you'll provide therapeutic interventions to promote emotional and social adjustment while collaborating with the rehab team to maximize patient outcomes and help overcome barriers to progress.

Rehab Without Walls, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, is a revolutionary neurorehabilitation program that moves individuals outside the walls of institutional settings and into their natural home and community environment. It is designed to help people who have experienced a brain injury, spinal cord injury, or stroke/CVA regain functional capabilities through a continuum of care in the home, community, workplace, or school.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive evaluations, assessing the social, emotional, and support needs of patients and their families.
• Sets measurable objectives in conjunction with the rehab team.
• Assists the physician and other health team members in understanding significant social and emotional factors related to the patient's health problems.
• Instructs and counsels patients and families in treating and coping with social and emotional responses connected with illnesses.
• Participates in care coordination activities and acts as a resource to other health team members in identifying and resolving patient needs.
• Identifies and assists patients and/or families in utilizing appropriate community resources to achieve measurable objectives.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Clinical Social Work (LCSW).
• Current Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a rehabilitation setting serving individuals who have experienced a traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, or acute diagnosis.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support), First Aid, and CPR certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds; moving, lifting, or transferring patients may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety procedures.
• Duties require fine motor skills, visual acuity, and walking/standing for extended periods.
• Additional physical requirements include pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, kneeling, and positioning frequently.
