About the role

Help Expand Access to Mental Healthcare Across Michigan Backpack Healthcare is growing in Michigan! We're looking for compassionate, dedicated therapists who want to make a meaningful impact while enjoying the flexibility of working from home. We provide high-quality virtual mental health services to children, adolescents, and young adults, making care more accessible to families across the state. Responsibilities

• Provide 15–22 telehealth sessions per week, delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Michigan.
• Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM EST), with weekend availability welcomed.
• You create your schedule—we provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.
• Conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
• Developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans.
• Providing evidence-based individual and family therapy via secure telehealth.
• Collaborating with our interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators.
• Completing timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR).
• Supporting families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care.

Requirements

• An active Michigan independent license (LPC, LMSW, or LMFT).
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population.
• The ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.

Pay

• $60 per billable hour for independently licensed clinicians.
• Monthly bonus potential based on eligible clinical and performance metrics.
