Live Receiving Yard Driver Opr DB01 (1st Shift) - Berry St Plant

Pay: $19.05 per hour

About the role

This position is located outside the plant and is part of the receiving department. Responsibilities include driving the yard truck to move and park trailers and trucks as needed during the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial safety check/inspection of the yard truck and document it on the inspection form.
• Maintain constant communication with the supervisor and receiving team to understand which trucks need to be backed in and out of the receiving dock during the shift.
• Monitor the radio constantly and respond immediately to requests from the supervisor or shipping & receiving team members.
• Assist receiving team members in unloading trailers as needed.
• Communicate timely with the supervisor about any issues during the shift.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• No DWI/DUI conviction within the past 12 months (verified by Safety Manager after contingent offer).
• Must have fewer than 4 points according to the Tyson Yard Driver Evaluation System (verified by Safety Manager after contingent offer).
• Must be willing to submit to the Non-DOT disclosure and release form to obtain MVR (verified by Safety Manager after contingent offer).
• Must be willing to work in all weather conditions, as the job setting is outside.
• Must be able to lift, pull, and/or push up to 50 pounds.
• 3 months of food industry production experience in the last 2 years (can be a combination of employers).
• 180-day (6-month) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.
• Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
