Live-in Home Health Aide - HHA

About the Role

Join Visiting Angels of Paris as a Live-in Home Health Aide (HHA) and play a vital role in enriching the quality of life for our clients while supporting their wellness through custom care plans. You’ll serve clients throughout the local area, including Sulphur Springs, Paris, Mt Pleasant, Clarksville, Cooper, Talco, and more. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Plan and prepare meals with clients
• Handle light housekeeping duties
• Report health changes or unusual incidents
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Assist with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Opportunities for advanced training in dementia care and Alzheimer’s care are available for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

Requirements

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Training in First Aid and emergency response (provided if needed)
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties
• Reliable transportation to travel to and from client homes as scheduled
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and supporting clients
• Comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to dietary constraints
• Willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (e.g., background check)
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days
