Live-In Aide

About the role

Home Instead is seeking a Caregiver (Care Professional) to support seniors in their homes. The role involves companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, and assistance with daily activities. The position includes live-in accommodations with room provided but meals must be covered by the caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks
• Meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Transportation to appointments
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Handling a client with MS and limited mobility

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience working with seniors or those with disabilities
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Currently an undergraduate student or completion of at least a bachelor's degree
• Pass a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen
• Possess a valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Must be able to interview in person at the Ann Arbor, MI office
• CNA certification is a plus

Qualifications

• Must be local and able to interview in person at Ann Arbor office
• Minimum $850 up to $1,250 per week
