Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay
- Entry through 4 years of employment: $21.00/hour
- 5 through 9 years of employment: $21.25/hour
- 10 through 14 years of employment: $21.50/hour
- 15 through 19 years of employment: $21.75/hour
- 20+ years of employment: $22.00/hour
- Weekly attendance bonus
Responsibilities
- Hang live chickens in moving shackles by placing both feet securely in the shackles
- Control hydraulic bar with leg to maintain continuous product flow
- Comply with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Hatchery or poultry industry experience (preferred)
- Basic math skills (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- Stand up to 8 hours per shift
- Lift up to 60 lbs
- Frequent exposure to heat (incubators at 99.5°F), wet, and dusty environments
- Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
- Roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs)
- Work around raw, live animal odors
Safety Requirements
- Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
