LITTLE REY EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF – UP TO $85K/yr. + BONUS (Piedmont Heights)

About the role

Little Rey is seeking an Executive Sous Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, including production/prep, private parties, and special events. The ideal candidate will manage a culinary budget, monitor labor, schedule, and overtime to ensure productivity and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all areas of the kitchen including production/prep, private parties and special events, stewarding, purchasing and receiving
• Ensure culinary staff creates all menu items to the highest standards
• Lead a cohesive team and effectively run the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
• Work calmly under pressure and manage a culinary budget
• Monitor labor, scheduling, and overtime to ensure maximum productivity and guest satisfaction

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive culinary experience, with 2+ years in a Sous Chef capacity
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Experience with budget management and labor scheduling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
• Valid Food Handlers Card

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
