Litigation Specialist
About the role
Soni is partnering with a Global AmLaw Firm to hire a Litigation E-Filing Specialist on a long-term temporary basis. This role supports the day-to-day operations of a Managing Attorney's Office, ensuring the accurate filing, service, retrieval, and tracking of court documents. It serves as a key resource for litigation teams by managing electronic filings, monitoring court dockets, and maintaining critical calendaring and docketing information. The position requires a strong understanding of California and federal court procedures, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, file, serve, and retrieve court documents in state, federal, and appellate courts.
- Review court filings for procedural compliance and maintain accurate docketing and calendaring records.
- Monitor court dockets, track critical deadlines, and communicate updates to attorneys and litigation support teams.
- Conduct case and court research using online databases, court systems, and litigation support tools.
- Provide administrative and operational support to litigation teams, including service of process and special projects.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation docketing, court filing, or related legal support experience.
- Working knowledge of California state and federal court rules, procedures, and electronic filing systems.
- Experience with docketing and calendaring software such as CourtAlert, CompuLaw, MA3000, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Pay
$40 to $47 an hour. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job-related qualifications.
