About the role

A nationally recognized Am Law 100 law firm with a strong presence across the U.S. is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its downtown Los Angeles office. The role supports a busy toxic tort litigation practice and offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys on complex matters from case inception through trial preparation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, including case management, discovery, and trial preparation
  • Prepare, file, and manage court documents through ECF systems
  • Maintain litigation calendars and monitor court deadlines
  • Draft pleadings, notices, motions, subpoenas, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research using PACER, Westlaw, and other legal research platforms
  • Organize and manage deposition materials, exhibits, and document productions
  • Cook up depositions, expert communications, and trial logistics
  • Aid with discovery responses, document review, and case strategy preparation
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and third-party vendors
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure accuracy across litigation materials

Requirements

  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience within a law firm environment
  • Experience supporting toxic tort, product liability, or other complex litigation matters
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing requirements
  • Experience with ECF filing systems, PACER, and Westlaw
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice-to-Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
  • Paralegal certificate
  • Trial preparation and courtroom support experience
  • Experience collaborating with expert witnesses and managing large discovery productions
  • Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures

Pay

Competitive salary range of $80,000 - $105,000 annually
