Litigation Legal Secretary
The Litigation Legal Secretary position at this Orange County law firm requires 5+ years of legal secretary experience supporting civil litigation attorneys, particularly those handling business and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate should have exceptional organization and proofreading skills, and the ability to manage multiple attorneys in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and format pleadings, discovery, correspondence, and motion papers
- Manage attorney calendars and litigation deadlines
- Cook California state and federal court filings
- Maintain electronic and physical case files
- Assist with hearing, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation
Requirements
- Strong California civil litigation experience
- Exceptional organization and proofreading skills
- Ability to support multiple attorneys in a deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of California state and federal court rules, calendaring, and e-filing procedures
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including formatting, redlining, tables of contents, and tables of authorities
- Professional communication skills and confidence interacting with attorneys, clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Detail-oriented, dependable, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business and commercial litigation
