Matthews & Matthews, LLP is a well-established, full-service law firm with offices in Destin and Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. The firm consists of 11 attorneys and 18 staff members and serves clients throughout Northwest Florida, from Tallahassee to Pensacola. Our practice is diverse, with a strong emphasis on real estate, business transactional matters, and litigation.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in a broad range of civil and business litigation matters, managing cases from inception through resolution
• Develop case strategy
• Conduct discovery
• Draft pleadings and motions
• Participate in hearings, mediations, and trials
• Maintain strong client relationships

Requirements

• 3–5 years of civil and/or business litigation experience
• Significant experience handling discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation
• First-chair trial experience is strongly preferred
• Excellent legal research, writing, advocacy, negotiation, and communication skills
• Strong organizational abilities and sound professional judgment
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Admitted to The Florida Bar and in good standing
