Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
- Handle all phases of discovery, including document review, interrogatories, depositions, and ESI-related matters.
- Advise clients on case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation progress.
- Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances as required.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witnesses, and developing case strategy.
- Maintain accurate case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to manage caseload efficiently.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on employment law.
- Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Experience handling discovery and motion practice in civil litigation.
- Ability to analyze complex workplace disputes and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Excellent communication, organization, and case management skills.
