Litigation Attorney

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and responses.
  • Handle all phases of discovery, including document review, interrogatories, depositions, and ESI-related matters.
  • Advise clients on case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation progress.
  • Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances as required.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witnesses, and developing case strategy.
  • Maintain accurate case files, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to manage caseload efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active California Bar license in good standing.
  • 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on employment law.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Experience handling discovery and motion practice in civil litigation.
  • Ability to analyze complex workplace disputes and develop effective litigation strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and case management skills.
