Litigation Attorney

About the role

A well-established and growing law firm in Fair Lawn, New Jersey is seeking multiple full-time Litigation Attorneys to join its team. The firm represents healthcare providers in a wide range of matters, with a strong focus on reimbursement disputes involving commercial health insurance carriers.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active litigation caseload.
• Draft and file complaints, motions, and other pleadings.
• Respond to motions and discovery requests, ensuring timely and thorough case preparation.
• Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies in collaboration with colleagues.
• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of litigation experience.
• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey or New York (admission to both preferred).
• Federal court admission preferred in District of New Jersey, Eastern District of New York, or Southern District of New York.
• Prior experience in healthcare reimbursement or healthcare-related litigation preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Law degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New Jersey or New York (admission to both preferred).
• Experience in state and federal courts.
• Experience in healthcare reimbursement or healthcare-related litigation preferred but not required.
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
