Litigation Attorney

About the role

We are a preeminent California public-entity defense firm specializing in a wide range of practice areas. We are seeking one or more talented and dedicated attorneys (1–7 years of experience) to join our expanding team. The position is flexible as to remote/hybrid work, but applicants must live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Bay Area in order to attend in-person proceedings and hearings.

Responsibilities

• Manage case load with minimal supervision
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies
• Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials
• Communicate and collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to ensure cases are handled efficiently
• Maintain positive client relationships regarding case assessment, investigation, discovery, and litigation developments

Requirements

• Completion of a Juris Doctor
• Admitted to the California Bar
• 0–7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent research and analytical abilities
• Trial experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
