Litigation Attorney

Seeking a motivated Litigation Attorney to join its growing civil litigation practice in Annapolis, Maryland. The firm represents individuals and businesses in a broad range of disputes, with a particular focus on real estate title litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, strategic problem-solving, and direct client interaction. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, the ability to manage cases independently, and a commitment to delivering practical, client-focused legal solutions. Key Responsibilities Manage civil litigation matters from initial client consultation through resolution or trial.Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, memoranda, and other legal documents.Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.Oversee discovery, document review, and witness preparation.Communicate with clients regarding case progress, legal strategy, and expectations.Collaborate with attorneys and staff on complex litigation matters.Maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and client service. Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school.Active Maryland Bar membership in good standing required.Admission to the D.C. and/or Virginia Bar preferred.3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.Real estate litigation or title dispute experience is a plus.Portable book of business preferred.Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.Ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively with a team.Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.Client-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to legal practice.
