Litigation Attorney
About the role
Tonnsen Bach is a mid-size civil defense firm with offices in Greenville, Charleston and Charlotte. We are hiring an associate litigation attorney in the Charleston office. Our firm's primary practice areas are business and commercial litigation, construction defects, insurance coverage, and personal injury. We are growing and continue to look for highly qualified law students with an interest in gaining experience in the courtroom early on in their career.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on legal matters related to business and commercial litigation
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of cases in court
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement litigation strategies
- Prepare and file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Represent clients in depositions and hearings
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and goals
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a JD program
- Strong academic record
- Passionate about litigation and courtroom experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Adaptability to a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented
- Experience with legal research and writing
- Knowledge of civil litigation procedures
- Interest in business and commercial litigation
