A sophisticated plaintiff's litigation firm in Northern New Jersey seeks a motivated Associate with 1-3 years of experience for their growing practice. This position offers substantial responsibility handling complex matters including commercial disputes, class actions, and multi-party litigation with direct attorney-client relationships and frequent court appearances.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex litigation matters from case inception through trial and appeals
• Draft substantive motions, briefs, and pleadings for federal and state courts
• Conduct depositions and represent clients at court proceedings
• Manage client relationships and provide strategic counseling
• Collaborate across practice areas including commercial litigation, class actions, personal injury, and medical malpractice
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Work independently while coordinating with partners on high-stakes matters

Qualifications

• 1-4 years litigation experience (commercial or complex civil matters preferred)
• New Jersey bar admission required
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Self-motivated with ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent communication and client relations abilities
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Adaptability and comfort with diverse subject matter

Pay

$120K-$130K plus performance bonus
