Our prestigious legal firm is actively seeking a dynamic Litigation Attorney to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, strategic, and client-focused professional to play a key role in our litigation team. The successful candidate will handle a wide variety of complex legal matters, from inception through appeal. This is a challenging and rewarding role that demands high levels of initiative, creativity, and strategic thinking.
Responsibilities
- Representing clients in all stages of litigation, including fact investigation, legal research, drafting legal documents, managing discovery, and presenting arguments in court.
- Conducting depositions of parties and witnesses, which involves interviewing witnesses, experts, and other parties involved in the case.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients, which requires excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of our clients' best interests.
- Developing litigation strategies and making recommendations to clients based on a thorough understanding of the facts and legal issues of each case.
- Providing legal advice to clients and keeping them informed about the status of their cases.
- Collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure the best representation for our clients.
Qualifications
- A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney in insurance defense litigation or related practice area.
- Proven experience in conducting depositions and managing own caseload from inception to trial.
- Exceptional litigation skills, including excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- A proven track record of effectively managing a caseload.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- A high degree of professionalism and adherence to strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
- The ability to work independently, but also as part of a team, in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
