Responsibilities
- Manage all stages of litigation, including drafting pleadings, discovery, pretrial motions, and trial and appellate work.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediation, and arbitration.
- Cook up litigation strategies with team members and clients.
- Draft and negotiate settlements.
- Analyze insurance coverage and professional liability issues.
- Handle construction defect and HOA litigation.
- Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
- Maintain current knowledge of changes in legislation that may affect the organization and its clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in litigation.
- Active member of the state Bar in good standing.
- Proven experience in defense, HOA, construction defect, insurance coverage, and professional liability.
- Exceptional research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A high degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
