Litigation Attorney

Location: Gallup, New Mexico – 90 minutes from Albuquerque, 45-minute flight from Phoenix.

About the role

A well-established litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2-9 years of experience to manage meaningful cases while working closely with experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative environment. First-chair experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
• Conduct depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Work closely with clients, medical providers, and expert witnesses
• Prepare cases for trial and assist in courtroom proceedings
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation strategy

Requirements

• 2-9 years of litigation experience (plaintiff-side preferred)
• Licensed and in good standing with the Virginia State Bar
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and legal writing skills
• Experience managing cases independently with support from senior attorneys
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced litigation environment

Pay

Competitive base salary for 6 months followed by a 50/50 split. Performance-based bonuses included.
