About the role

The firm seeks an attorney to join its Litigation practice group, focusing on landmark cases benefiting students across California.

Responsibilities

  • Handle complex civil litigation matters from initiation to resolution including arbitration, mediation and/or trials
  • Manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Lead matters, manage deadlines and move matters forward
  • Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
  • Education law experience and/or public entity experience
  • Prior experience with civil rights, special education, insurance defense or personal injury defense preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of litigation experience
  • Admission to the California State Bar

Qualifications

  • Strong case management skills
  • Excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Flexibility, initiative, and willingness to work on a broad variety of legal matters arising in representing public entities
  • Education law experience and/or public entity experience
  • Prior experience with civil rights, special education, insurance defense or personal injury defense preferred

Pay

The annual salary range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $175,000 to $210,000. The final annual salary offered will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

The firm offers a hybrid schedule.
