Litigation Attorney

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Advocate for clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings
  • Prepare for and participate in trials and arbitration hearings alongside senior counsel
  • Draft written discovery requests, responses, deficiency notices, and subpoenas
  • Respond to discovery served on clients
  • Review and analyze documents produced in discovery
  • Collaborate with briefing attorneys on legal research and written submissions
  • Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and correspondence
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations
  • Attend formal and informal settlement conferences
  • Participate in settlement-related motion practice
  • Aid in proactive management of a docket of active and settled matters
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership, in good standing
  • Significant litigation experience, including depositions and advocacy at court hearings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms and litigation software
  • Experience with trial preparation and high-stakes litigation
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff

Pay and Benefits

Salary range: $150,000?$200,000, based on experience
Billables are 50%
Case-specific bonuses tied to origination, results, and/or time expended
Annual bonuses based on total hours recorded
401(k) plan
