Litigation Associate - Tort Practice Group
About the role
Dinsmore is seeking a litigation associate in their Louisville, Kentucky office. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience, including drafting and arguing motions, taking depositions, handling complex discovery and ESI, working with medical records, retaining and working with expert witnesses, and preparing cases for trial. Experience in defending healthcare-related negligence cases is preferred. Candidates should have a strong academic background, excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills, and a license to practice in Kentucky.
Responsibilities
- Draft and argue motions
- Take depositions
- Handle complex discovery and ESI
- Work with medical records
- Retain and work with expert witnesses
- Prepare cases for trial
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of litigation experience
- Experience in defending healthcare-related negligence cases preferred
- Familiarity with the Kentucky court system is a plus
- Strong academic background
- Excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- A license to practice in Kentucky is required
Qualifications
- Out of state candidates willing to sit for the Kentucky bar exam, or eligible for admission in Kentucky, will be considered
- An Indiana license is preferred, but not required
