Litigation Associate Openings
About the role
The firm is seeking an associate attorney with two (2) to six (6) years of dedicated antitrust experience. A combination of prior government agency and private law firm experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a developed commitment to client service, excellent research and writing skills and be interested in working collaboratively across multiple offices.
Responsibilities
- Provide counsel in the context of transactions
- Defend clients in government investigations and litigation proceedings
- Navigate antitrust risks associated with mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures
- Analyze antitrust risks of proposed transactions
- Guide clients on complying with antitrust laws in day-to-day business activities
- Represent clients in federal and state antitrust matters, class actions, multidistrict litigation, jury and bench trials, and third party witness testimony
- Represent clients in bankruptcy and restructuring matters
- Represent clients in pre-bankruptcy negotiations
- Represent clients in confirmation of Chapter 11 plans of reorganization
- Represent clients in investigation and litigation of preferences
- Represent clients in fraudulent transfers claims
- Represent clients in breach of duty claims
- Represent clients in deepening insolvency claim
- Represent clients in receivership and post confirmation fiduciary roles
- Represent clients in various matters representing creditors, debtors, committees and trustees
- Represent clients in public and private companies in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings
- Represent clients in healthcare, financial services, and commercial litigation matters
- Work with clients on real estate and commercial disputes
- Support and expand the firm’s broader commercial litigation practice
Requirements
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active law license in a U.S. jurisdiction in good standing required.

Pay
If located in our Chicago or Washington, D.C. offices, the salary range for this position is $235,000-$390,000. This is a salary range and actual salary will be determined based on the experience of the candidate.
