Litigation Associate – Maritime, Transportation & Energy
About the role
Clyde & Co seeks an enthusiastic attorney with 4–6+ years of experience to join our New York office. This team practices litigation and arbitration of complex insurance and commercial disputes and has litigated matters at the trial and appellate levels in both US state and federal courts. The team focuses on renewable energy insurance, and has a robust market leading first-party property, marine, commercial general and excess liability and construction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare pleadings, briefs and other litigation documents
- Prepare correspondence to colleagues and clients
- Conduct legal research
- Work on all aspects of pretrial to trial
- Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required
- Provide appeals and trial support
Requirements
- Admitted to practice in New York
- Experience in working on insurance coverage matters
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- The ability to simultaneously handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters
- Effective problem-solving skills
- The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects
Qualifications
- Has 4 –6+ years of litigation experience

Pay
The salary range for this position in California is $185,000-$210,000. The range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
