About the role
Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, seeks a full-time Associate in their Labor & Employment Practice based in Phoenix. The position offers competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Interpersonal, writing, and analytical skills are essential.
- Keen attention to detail and a willingness to take ownership are required.
- Significant litigation experience, especially in employment class actions, trade secrets, and restrictive covenants, is preferred.
- The role involves trial experience, taking depositions, covering hearings, interviewing witnesses, handling written discovery, and writing persuasive briefs.
- Substantive knowledge of basic employment concepts under Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, and similar federal and state employment laws is strongly preferred.
- The candidate will assume significant responsibility.
Requirements
- Strong academic credentials and references are necessary.
- The candidate must be a member of the Arizona State Bar or willing to quickly become one.
Qualifications
- A law degree from an accredited institution is required.
- AJDL certification is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Excellent research and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Strong oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
