Responsibilities

• Represent healthcare providers in medical malpractice and professional liability matters
• Manage assigned cases from inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence
• Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
• Assist with case strategy, evaluation, and litigation planning
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and experts
• Provide representation and guidance in matters involving healthcare licensing boards
• Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex matters

Requirements

• Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar required
• 3+ years of experience handling medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare litigation, or related defense matters
• Long-term care, nursing home, assisted living, or healthcare provider defense experience strongly preferred
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and advocacy skills

Pay

$120,000 - $185,000 per year
