Responsibilities
- Represent healthcare providers in medical malpractice and professional liability matters
- Manage assigned cases from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence
- Participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
- Assist with case strategy, evaluation, and litigation planning
- Communicate effectively with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and experts
- Provide representation and guidance in matters involving healthcare licensing boards
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice groups on complex matters
Requirements
- Active member in good standing of the Florida Bar required
- 3+ years of experience handling medical malpractice, professional liability, healthcare litigation, or related defense matters
- Long-term care, nursing home, assisted living, or healthcare provider defense experience strongly preferred
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent communication and advocacy skills

Pay
$120,000 - $185,000 per year
