Litigation Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff, wage and hour class and representative actions
• Advise clients on day-to-day employment law matters and workplace issues
• Manage all phases of litigation in California state and federal courts
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal filings
• Prepare and respond to written discovery
• Manage electronic discovery and document productions
• Take and defend depositions
• Aid in trial preparation and support trial teams
• Work directly with clients to develop practical and strategic legal solutions
• Collaborate closely with partners and colleagues across litigation teams

Who You Are

• 3rd–5th year associate
• Experience in California state and federal court litigation
• Strong employment litigation experience, including wage and hour class and representative actions
• Experience providing employment counselling and advice preferred
• Significant experience with written discovery, eDiscovery and motion practice
• Deposition experience
• Prior trial experience preferred
• Big Law experience preferred
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus
• Excellent academic credentials
• Outstanding written, oral advocacy and public speaking skills
• Collaborative and team-oriented approach

Compensation

• Salary Range: $260,000 – $365,000 (DOE)
