Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, correspondence, and legal memoranda
• Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
• Managing written discovery and document production
• Preparing for and participating in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and court personnel
• Handling matters with increasing independence as experience and judgment develop
• Supporting the firm's work in construction, surety, commercial, contract, and related litigation matters

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of litigation experience; Admitted to the State Bar of Texas
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and professional judgment
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and client correspondence
• The ability to manage deadlines and multiple assignments efficiently
• A strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of assignments
• Professional communication skills and a client-service mindset
• Experience in construction litigation, surety law, commercial litigation, insurance defense, employment litigation, or bankruptcy-related litigation is preferred but not required
