Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

• Support a busy litigation practice in managing matters from initial investigation through resolution, settlement, or trial
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related filings
• Conduct and manage all phases of discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Analyze contracts and legal documents, including indemnity and insurance provisions
• Represent clients in mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings
• Develop case strategy and assist with risk assessment and client counseling
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and objectives

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the Washington State Bar, or eligibility for admission
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Excellent judgment, communication, and case management abilities
• Ability to independently manage multiple matters and competing deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with probate, trust, or fiduciary litigation preferred
• Ability to handle sophisticated litigation matters with limited supervision
• Strong client relationship and problem-solving skills
