Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

• Manage key phases of complex commercial litigation matters
• Handle written discovery, document review, and discovery strategy
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and substantive motions
• Prepare and argue both dispositive and non-dispositive motions
• Take and defend depositions
• Aid in witness preparation and case strategy
• Support trial preparation, trial strategy, and courtroom proceedings
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on litigation objectives and case management
• Effectively manage deadlines and multiple workstreams in high-stakes matters

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the California Bar
• Approximately 4–5 years of litigation experience
• Strong experience with:
• Discovery management
• Legal research and analysis
• Drafting pleadings and motions
• Witness preparation
• Taking and defending depositions
• Exceptional analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Outstanding academic credentials
• Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in commercial litigation matters
• Prior exposure to high-profile business disputes, brand-related litigation, or reputational matters

Benefits

• Base Salary: $285,000 – $325,000

• Bonus opportunities and additional compensation programs may be available based on firm policies and individual performance

• Los Angeles, California (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
