Litigation Associate
About the role
O’Melveny & Myers LLP is seeking a mid-level associate (4th to 6th year) with complex litigation experience to join our Litigation Department.
Responsibilities
- Excelling in complex litigation, motion practice, depositions, discovery management, and trial preparation
- Drafting and editing pleadings, briefs, interview memos, or other written work product
- Conducting witness interviews
- Preparing for and conducting depositions
- Preparing for and participating in arbitrations and trials
- Taking a leadership role in cases and at the firm
- Handling and running multiple significant matters at once
Requirements
- Excellent academic credentials
- Demonstrated experience in complex litigation
- Experience drafting and editing pleadings, briefs, interview memos or other written work product
- Experience conducting witness interviews
- Experience preparing for and conducting depositions
- Experience preparing for and participating in arbitrations and trials
- Comfortable and experienced taking a leadership role in cases and at the firm
- Able to handle and run multiple significant matters at once
Qualifications
- Clerkships are preferred

Benefits
The salary range in Century City for this role is $310,000 - $365,000 and represents the firm’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.
