Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

• Drafting motions and other substantive briefs
• Managing discovery
• Handling hearings and arguing motions
• Preparing cases for trial

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of meaningful, hands-on experience in product liability and general litigation, specifically practicing in California
• A background in product liability focused on the automotive, medical device, and/or consumer products industries
• A strong track record in California state and federal courts
• Demonstrated initiative in case strategy and comfort with taking ownership of matters in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional written and oral advocacy skills
• A thorough understanding of civil procedure rules
• Strong academic credentials
• Appellate experience is a strong plus but not required
• Admission to the California Bar in good standing is required

Qualifications

At Nelson Mullins, we are dedicated to transparent and fair compensation practices. Pay for this position is determined by factors such as experience, skills, and location. In Los Angeles, California, the salary/wage range is $205,000 - $235,000 annually. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for performance bonuses and benefits such as healthcare, retirement plans, and paid time off.
