About the role

Groom Law Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced benefits, health, and retirement specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, providing guidance on complex benefit plans, and assisting employees with their benefit inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws regarding benefits, health, and retirement programs.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance on various benefit plans including health insurance, retirement savings, and other employee benefits.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to implement and maintain benefit programs in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist employees with understanding and navigating their benefit options, addressing questions and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated on changes in benefit laws and regulations and communicate these updates to the organization.
  • Prepare and review benefit-related documents such as enrollment forms, change requests, and termination notices.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in benefits administration or a related field.
  • Knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other relevant employment laws.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of health insurance plans, retirement plans, and other employee benefits.
  • Experience with benefit plan administration software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 annually.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
