About the role

The Litigation Associate will assist with and, as experience allows, handle an active docket of matters, primarily supporting insurance defense matters while gaining exposure to the firm’s broader civil litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an early career attorney eager to build practical courtroom and case management experience, as well as for more experienced candidates ready to take on increased responsibility. The firm offers flexible work arrangements determined by the candidate's experience, practice needs, and office alignment.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, legal memoranda, and other legal documents
• Prepare client reports and case evaluations
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations if necessary
• Assist with case strategy and file management
• Support trial preparation and participate in trial as appropriate
• Manage deadlines across multiple active matters

Requirements

• JD from an ABA accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Texas
• 4 to 6 years of litigation experience preferred
• Excellent writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a strong desire to grow as a litigator
