Litigation Associate (Labor & Employment / Business Litigation)An Am Law 100 firm is seeking a talented Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience in California state and federal courts to join its Orange County office. This is an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated labor and employment matters as well as complex business litigation within a collaborative and high-performing legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation matters, collaborate with highly regarded attorneys, and build your practice within a nationally recognized Am Law 100 platform. Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in labor and employment litigation, including:Single-plaintiff employment mattersWage and hour class actionsPAGA and representative actionsProvide employment-related advice and counsel to clientsDraft and respond to written discoveryManage all aspects of electronic discoveryConduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other court filingsTake and defend depositionsSupport case strategy and collaborate with partners and team members on complex litigation mattersQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law schoolActive membership in the California Bar3-5 years of litigation experience in California state and federal courtsExperience handling employment litigation matters, including wage and hour and representative actionsStrong experience with discovery, e-discovery management, motion practice, and depositionsExcellent academic credentialsExceptional legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skillsAbility to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentPreferred QualificationsPrior trial experienceLarge law firm experienceJudicial clerkship experienceCompensationThe expected base salary range for this position is $260,000 - $365,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
