What You Will Be Doing

  • Create small-group K-3 reading workshops informed by live adaptive-app analytics, rooted in structured-literacy approaches (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, IMSE, or equivalent)
  • Facilitate daily motivation sessions that drive 100% of students toward weekly app targets using Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, age-appropriate gamification)
  • Analyze AI-generated performance metrics (fluency trajectories, decoding precision, comprehension indicators) to modify instruction mid-day, not only during planning periods
  • Conduct running records, fluency probes, and decoding assessments to generate gains reflected in weekly campus data reviews
  • Serve as the engaging, high-energy adult your K-3 students anticipate seeing daily

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Implementing a commercially published reading curriculum, scripted program, or district pacing calendar; you create lessons based on student data
  • Delivering lectures to full classrooms; all instruction occurs in small, targeted groups while students complete academic subjects through adaptive apps
  • Serving as a reading consultant, teacher coach, or district-level specialist; you work directly with children in the classroom daily
  • Managing a traditional classroom schedule: subject-by-subject lectures, homework correction, test preparation. Your scheduled blocks consist of workshops, motivation sessions, and data-informed small groups
