Literacy Education Trainer - Volunteer Position - Onsite in Belize • North America - 10 months

About The Project Activities How you and the community will make an impact together: Support the planning and facilitation of evidence-based early literacy instruction for kindergarten and first-grade students. Model phonological awareness and phonics routines aligned with the reading readiness program. Observe classroom instruction and provide feedback and support to the teachers. Assist teachers in incorporating strategies that strengthen English reading readiness. Review early literacy assessment data and plan instructional adjustments. Help identify students who need additional support and assist teachers in implementing related activities. Develop or adapt teaching and learning materials that reinforce early literacy skills. Engage families and caregivers in simple, practical strategies to support at-home reading. You may also work on additional projects that meet the community’s interests and priorities, such as expanding school libraries or facilitating reading clubs.
