Linux Systems Administrator II
CACI is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator II to perform system administration functions in support of a critical mission based in Fort Meade, MD. This role provides the opportunity to support enterprise infrastructure, enhance system reliability, and contribute to secure, mission-focused operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day Linux system administration tasks across enterprise environments.
- Deploy, configure, secure, and maintain Linux servers and associated services.
- Monitor, patch, and upgrade Linux servers and network-connected resources (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Maintain and upgrade virtualized environments, including VMs and underlying hardware resources.
- Implement and support security compliance controls and document non-applicable items as required.
- Assist with installation, configuration, and integration of new or replacement Linux-based hardware and software.
- Integrate hardware/software solutions into existing network infrastructure.
- Support the decommissioning and removal of outdated or replaced systems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of system inventory changes and configuration updates.
Requirements
- Proficient with Linux, including hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Minimum of three (3) years of recent Linux system administration experience (within the last 3 years).
- Experience patching and upgrading Linux servers and networking resources.
- Virtualization/VM experience.
- COMPTIA Security+ certification.
- Ten (10) years experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.

Pay
The proposed salary range for this position is $103,800 - $218,100. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
