About the role
The Leidos Corporate Information Security team, within the Digital Modernization sector, is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator in their Omaha NE office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support advanced computing solutions in a diverse, integrated environment focusing on security and high performance computing.
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced computing solutions in a heterogeneous environment.
- Design, implement, and sustain containerized and virtual machine architectures.
- Apply security controls under the Risk Management Framework.
- Understand computer network concepts and apply them in a production environment.
- Work with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Podman.
- Support Special Access Program (SAP) Information Systems (IS).
- Implement and maintain compliance with DoDI 8570 and NIST 800-53.
- Manage and analyze audit logs using tools like Graylog or Splunk.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability and security.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance with eligibility for Top Secret and SAP clearances.
- Current DoD 8140/8570 compliant IA certification for IAT II (Security+CE or higher).
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies and cloud systems (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with Red Hat Satellite and IS implementation as per JSIG.
- Understanding of DevOps best practices and system development lifecycle automation.
- Excellent customer service skills and clear communication.
- Comfortable working in an environment without immediate supervision.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of experience, or Associate degree and 6-8 years, or High School diploma and 8 or more years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Basic understanding of computer network concepts and hardware.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with system configuration and security controls.
- Experience with IS implementation as per JSIG.
- Experience with ACAS or Nessus vulnerability scanning.
- Experience with risk management frameworks and compliance.
- Documented Computing Environment (CE) training.
