Linux System Administrator

Responsibilities

• Maintain system health on the HPC system(s)
• Review, resolve, and respond to client tickets
• Create, monitor, and close all support cases
• Maintain availability reports for tracking SLA’s
• Plan, schedule, and complete monthly patch upgrades
• Maintain system security posture
• Aid client with app installations
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware issues
• Track/document hardware repairs and open/close part cases
• Manage on-call schedule for 365 24x7x2/4 contracts
• Assist with hardware and system installation activities

Requirements

• Top Secret Clearance, TS/SCI preferred
• Security+ and Linux+ certification
• On-site 5 days a week with potential on-site on-call work
• Experience with HPC

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of Linux System Administration Experience
• Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study (8+ years total)
• CompTIA Security+ Certification Required
• CompTIA Linux+ Certification Required
• TS Clearance Required

• Work in a multi-technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems
• Present within own area of expertise as part of technical demos
• Able to produce complete proposals for smaller engagements within own area of expertise
• Independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables
