Linux Fleet Engineer – Edge Devices

About the role

Seeking a Linux Fleet Engineer experienced in managing Linux-based edge devices, BalenaCloud, Docker, CI/CD, automation, and OTA deployments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and onboard Linux edge-device fleets using BalenaCloud.
• Deploy and monitor Docker containers across distributed devices.
• Execute OTA updates and device lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot devices, logs, networking, and remote connectivity.
• Develop automation using Python and Bash.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Skills

• BalenaCloud/balenaCLI, Docker & Docker Compose.
• Linux administration, Git, Python, Bash.
• CI/CD and container deployments.
• Remote diagnostics and networking.

Qualifications

• Azure/AWS IoT, MQTT, Kubernetes/K3s, VPNs, Prometheus/Grafana, Raspberry Pi/Jetson, Red Hat Linux.
