About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Linux/UNIX professional with strong expertise in RHEL/CentOS/OVL versions 6.x, 7.x, and 8.x. The role involves installation, configuration, and administration of UNIX environments, Kubernetes implementation, and Linux/UNIX server support, including designing, troubleshooting, and storage implementation. You will be required to articulate standard methodologies during implementation and handle day-to-day UNIX/LINUX operating system tasks such as installation, migration, and break-fix support.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and upgrade UNIX/Linux environments, specifically RHEL/CentOS/OVL v6.x, v7.x, and v8.x.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and support UNIX/Linux servers, including storage implementation.
  • Apply standard methodologies during system implementation.
  • Integrate Linux systems with UNIX internals.
  • Support risk-based systems running on UNIX/Linux platforms.
  • Configure and manage OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization.
  • Set up and manage pacemaker clustering and DRBD configuration.
  • Perform LVM configuration, creation, deletion, and extension.
  • Handle user management and performance monitoring.
  • Provide day-to-day UNIX/Linux operating system support, including installation, migration, and break-fix tasks.
  • Administer and integrate SAN, SW, and storage with operating systems.
  • Determine technical needs such as hardware, software, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Apply ITIL processes in daily operations.
  • Provide customer-facing support and articulate technical solutions.

Requirements

  • RedHat or equivalent Linux certification (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience in UNIX/Linux server support and administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux system internals and integrations.
  • Experience with OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization.
  • Familiarity with pacemaker clustering and DRBD configuration.
  • Proficiency in LVM configuration and management.
  • Experience with SAN, SW, and storage administration.
  • Awareness and understanding of ITIL processes.

Pay

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum salary target for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by work location, job level, and additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Depending on the position, other forms of compensation may be provided, such as an annual performance-based bonus, sales incentive pay, or other forms of bonus/variable compensation.
