Linen Technician - Iowa Methodist Hospital - Full Time

Responsibilities

• Count and restock linen exchange carts, ensuring accurate par levels to meet hospital needs.
• Collect and transport soiled linen carts to designated areas, including loading and unloading trucks for distribution.
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry in LinenHelper to track linen inventory levels.
• Distribute clean linens to various departments ensuring timely delivery to support patient care.
• Fill customer linen requests by answering phone calls and recording requests, providing responsive and courteous service.
• Collaborate with team members to balance individual and group responsibilities, contributing to positive team goals.
• Maintain a clean and orderly linen storage environment to support efficient operations.
• Absorb linen distribution tasks during peak demand or emergencies to ensure operational continuity.

Requirements

• Institutional laundry experience preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
