Linen Sorter
About the role
The role of the Laundry Attendant/Linen Sorter involves sorting used linens into appropriate categories for washing, sorting out stained or torn linen, retrieving and stacking/folding clean linens, sorting clean towels, rugs, and robes, preparing linen bins for collection, receiving clean linen, distributing linens to Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams, placing and hanging folded products on appropriate racks, and reporting any problems or deficiencies to the manager.
Responsibilities
- Sorts used linens into appropriate categories for washing.
- Sorts out stained or torn linen.
- Retrieves folded linens and stacks or hangs clean linens as appropriate.
- Sorts clean towels, rugs, and robes.
- Prepares linen bins for collection and receives clean linen.
- Distributes linens to Housekeeping and Food & Beverage teams.
- Places and hangs folded product on appropriate rack.
- Reports any problems or deficiencies to manager.
Requirements
- High level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications
Flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays is ideal.
