Lineman Journeyman (Wickenburg)

About the role

The Wickenburg Service Center at Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and experience in both new construction projects and maintaining existing facilities.

Responsibilities

• Work on new construction projects and maintain underground and overhead facilities
• Experience working on all types of distribution lines including 4kv to 21kv and related equipment
• Live within a reasonable distance of headquarters (one hour)
• Pass written and hands-on exams and demonstrate climbing skills
• Work with aerial equipment with weight restrictions of 300 pounds or less
• Subject to callouts

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Completed a Registered Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program or an equivalent training program (approved by APS T&D Technical & Safety Training)
• One year experience as a Journeyman Lineman
• Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with a clean driving record
• Valid Class A CDL license (with no mechanical restrictions) upon start date
• Experience working on all types of distribution lines including 4kv to 21kv and related equipment required
• Must live within reasonable distance of headquarters (one hour)
• Requires working with aerial equipment, which have weight restrictions of 300 pounds or less
• Reasonable and necessary overtime required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.

• One year experience as a Journeyman Lineman
• Valid Class A CDL license (with no mechanical restrictions)
