About the role
The Wickenburg Service Center at Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and experience in both new construction projects and maintaining existing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Work on new construction projects and maintain underground and overhead facilities
- Experience working on all types of distribution lines including 4kv to 21kv and related equipment
- Live within a reasonable distance of headquarters (one hour)
- Pass written and hands-on exams and demonstrate climbing skills
- Work with aerial equipment with weight restrictions of 300 pounds or less
- Subject to callouts
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Completed a Registered Journeyman Lineman Apprenticeship Program or an equivalent training program (approved by APS T&D Technical & Safety Training)
- One year experience as a Journeyman Lineman
- Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with a clean driving record
- Valid Class A CDL license (with no mechanical restrictions) upon start date
- Experience working on all types of distribution lines including 4kv to 21kv and related equipment required
- Must live within reasonable distance of headquarters (one hour)
- Requires working with aerial equipment, which have weight restrictions of 300 pounds or less
- Reasonable and necessary overtime required
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.

- One year experience as a Journeyman Lineman
